MrStarskyAmsterdam teams up with artist Marta Abad Blay

The starry-sky birthposters of MrStarskyAmsterdam in a new illustration style.

We got a lot of enthusiastic feedback after our launch of our birthposters last year, that we decided to expand our collection. We are very proud to now introduce to you our collaboration with Spanish artist Marta Abad Blay. Her style can be described as organic and naive and her style is in our view a perfect addition to the more graphic style of Studio Kars+Boom.

Starry Sky
At MrStarskyAmsterdam each birthposter is unique and is a great fit with the nursery or playroom. Our posters contain the sky as it was at birth, being different depending on the combination of place/date/time of birth. The illustrations match the constellations in the sky, making every poster even more special.

Marta Abad Blay
With the launch of our new product line, we also take the opportunity to introduce Marta to you – in case you haven’t heard from her yet…. She is a well-known and much appreciated artist in the ‘kids department’ – her work is available in the nicest kidsstores throughout Europe and through her own online shop. Currently she is involved in designing prints for different kids clothing brands, her own kids brand and making illustrations for books. She recently moved back from her Amsterdam home in the Netherlands to the sunny coast of Spain.

Marta is an interdisciplinary visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts (University of Valencia) and Visual Effects (Film Academy, Amsterdam). After finishing her studies, her focus has been on working on animationfilm as a director, creating her own projects, and shorts films, which have been selected and awarded at international film festivals. Her passion has always been drawing and we are delighted that she was willing to team up with us!
